As the situation with COVID–19 is rapidly evolving, JTI is making proactive decisions that are grounded in care for our customers and employees, based in transparency and science, while also doing our part to help stop the spread of the virus. The safety of our customers, employees and their loved ones is our top priority. To date, business travel is limited and on an exception basis only. We are reducing the density of people in the offices by moving non-essential office work to home based work.
JTI has also committed to flexibility in staffing and to keeping enough personnel in place to assist customers with work schedules, based on their evolving business requirements, for production management. Every customer’s needs are different, and we want to make sure we play a constructive role by taking responsible actions so we can continue to do what’s right for our customers and employees. Safety is a JTI guiding principle and as the situation with COVID–19 is extremely dynamic, JTI is committed to caring for the health and well-being of our customers and employees in accordance with the mandates and guidelines given by local health officials and government leaders.
